Focus on your neighborhood, your small town, and your quality of life
Ballston Neighbors United encourages all Ballston residents to be a part of the Comprehensive Plan Update. It is important that the residents get their voice heard. Many have complained about all the new apartment buildings in our town, the new developments, more traffic, and loss of open spaces. NOW is the time to be a part of protecting what is left. Changes in zoning could mean saving our town from becoming as crowded as Clifton Park.
There will be a Town of Ballston Comprehensive Plan Update - Virtual Focus Group Discussion via Zoom on February 4, 2021 at 6:00pm. You have to sign up ahead with your email address and then you will get a confirmation with the link and information on how to submit questions before the Zoom.
The purpose of the Virtual Focus Group Discussion is to gather more input related to specific topic areas including:
- Sustainability
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
- Targeted Growth and Land Conservation
Where would you like to see growth and where would you like to see land saved?
- Hamlet needs
A Hamlet is an unincorporated settlement within a town. Did you know our town has more than one Hamlet? What do think is needed in these areas?
The event will include an overview presentation with background information about the topic areas. Following the overview, participants will join virtual breakout groups facilitated by members of the consultant team. Breakout group participants will be a asked to provide input on a series of topic-based questions. The information gathered from this activity will be used to help inform the development of the Comprehensive Plan Update.
